cuthalf is a single-player game. It has no accounts, no sign-in, and no server of its own. One thing in it does send data off your device, and that is the advertising. This policy says exactly what that is.
The game is made and published by Elif Mermer, who is the data controller for the purposes of the GDPR and can be reached at the address at the bottom of this page.
Your progress — best score, coins, the items you own, your daily missions and streak, and your settings — is written to a file inside the app's own storage. It never leaves the device, it is never sent to us, and deleting the app deletes it. There is no cloud save and no account to recover it from.
cuthalf shows adverts through Google AdMob. There is a banner on the pause and results screens, and two videos you can choose to watch in exchange for coins. Nothing is shown until you have finished three rounds, and no video ever plays unless you press the button that offers it.
To choose and measure those adverts, Google receives:
Google acts as an independent controller of that data and uses it under its own terms. What it collects and why is described in Google's advertising privacy policy, and the companies it may share it with are listed in Google's list of advertising partners. Google's servers are in the United States and other countries, so this is an international transfer; Google makes it under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
We do not receive any of it ourselves. What reaches us from AdMob is a count of adverts and money earned, with nobody's name or device in it.
If you buy something in the game, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple. cuthalf never sees your name, your payment details, or your Apple Account. Apple tells the app only whether a purchase succeeded, and that answer is what unlocks the item. Apple's own privacy policy governs the transaction.
cuthalf is not directed at children under 13. It has no chat, no social features, and no user-generated content, and it is not published in the App Store's Kids category. In AdMob it is not marked as child-directed, so if you are under the age of digital consent where you live, do not allow tracking.
Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, and laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act, you can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to its use, and complain to your data protection authority. For anything cuthalf holds the answer is short — it holds nothing off your device — but write to the address below and you will get a reply. We do not sell personal information.
This page always describes the version of cuthalf currently on the App Store. If a later version collects something new, this page and the App Store privacy labels are both updated before that version ships.
